White Beans in Thick Tomato Sauce
These beans make for a delicious, hearty meal any day of the week. Simmered in a tomato, garlic, onion broth have these beans coming out creamy and full of flavor.
- bag Great Northern or Cannellini Beans (16 oz)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 1/2 tbsp crushed garlic
- 1 onion
- 14.5 oz can diced tomatos
- 2 1/2 tbsp Peppers on Salt All-Purpose Wonder Spice
- 2 1/2 cans water

Heat large stock pot on stove at medium-high heat

Add olive oil and onion and saute until onions start to become translucent

Add garlic, tomatoes and Wonder Spice and continue cooking for another minute.

Add beans and water to pot and bring to a boil for a couple of minutes. It may look like a lot of liquid but most of it will be absorbed by the beans.

Cover the pot and turn the heat down to a rolling simmer. Let cook for 1 to 1.5 hours or until the beans are tender and creamy.

Serve with rice, quinoa, toast or simply eat plain.
